Fabulous handpainted sheet iron feather tree stand. The Christmas tree stand features three elves contemplating their traditional lucky mushrooms. The elves, one each in blue, red and yellow hooded suits, are seated on little grassy knolls planted with flowers. The painted details are terrific; each elf has completly different facial features than his friends. The center pole is painted green with metallic silver highlights.

Origin: probably Germany, circa 1910. Condition: completely original; 2 screws missing (easily replaced); paint is 95% intact and is very colorful. Size: 15-3/4" diameter; 9-1/4" high; opening for tree is 1-1/4" diameter.

Terrific vintage Santa Clause figure with composition face and boots, felt and satin costume, standing on a mica-covered base. The is a nice example in a good size. Japan, circa 1930. 7" tall. Excellent condition, a little bending to the cardboard base.

Colorful hard plastic lollipop holder in the form of a clown on wheels. This piece, intended for either Christmas or Easter, is very difficult to find. Made by Rosbro.

Origin: America, circa 1950. Condition: excellent, no cracks, a little paint wear on the nose, a small scratch on the side of one leg, and discoloration to the glue joining the halves. Size: 6-1/2” tall.

Very nice embossed vintage Halloween postcard featuring a line of girls dressed as ghosts and carrying smoking jack o'lanterns. The colors are bright and fresh. Postmarked (date illegible).

Origin: America, circa 1915. Condition: excellent, sharp corners, no tears or creases. Size: 5-1/2" x 3-1/2".

Very nice lithographed tin penny toy in the form of a convertible sedan being driven by a chauffeur. The toy is completely original and is marked "Made In Germany". Circa 1930. Excellent condition, very light surface wear. 5" long.

Vintage wind-up Santa Claus toy. When activated, Santa rings his handbell and waves his other hand. The face is rubber and the clothing is felt with "fur" trim. Marked "Made In Japan". Circa 1930s. Excellent working condition. 7" tall.

Lovely vintage blown glass Christmas ornament depicting a cornucopia full of bright red roses. The identical ornament is pictured in Johnson, vol. II, p. 111. Germany, circa 1920s. Mint condition. 2-1/2" tall.

Terrific vintage Christmas ornament fashioned from a papier-mache bell turned into a house. A cotton batting Santa Claus with a composition face is attached to the side. Unmarked, but most likely Japanese. Circa 1930. Very good condition, a little of the paint missing from the hanger and some wear to the "feather" trees. 3-1/2" high.

This Matchless star Christmas light has amber glass prisms and a cobalt blue glass gem. This is one of the less common color combinations. The base is bakelite and the bulb is C-6. These star lights were manufactured by the Matchless Electic Co. of Chicago, circa 1930. This light is 2 inches in diameter and in working condition. Condition: excellent.

Great hard plastic Halloween noisemaker in the form of a saxophone. The horn is in working condition. A similar horn is pictured on page 62 of "Halloween Favorites In Plastic". Circa 1940s. Excellent condition. 9-1/2" long.

Cute embossed Halloween post card depicting a sailor boy and a little girl carrying a huge pumpkin. Marked on front "Painting Only Copyrighted By International Art Pub. Co. 1908". The back is written upon, but not postmarked. Condition: bright coloring, sharp edges, small crease at one corner, a little dirty.

This is the Santa or Jack Frost in a curved pinecone (Type I) ornament. This variation is more uncommon and has more detail than the Type II variation. Excellent paint (except some wear to white beard) and silvering. No chips or cracks. 3-3/4" long.

This is a great example of how the company made parts interchangeable so they could create new items by joining together a seemingly endless selection of rabbits, ducks, roosters, chicks, etc. Circa 1950. Excellent condition, there is a crack on the underside by the axle that appears to have happened at the factory, since it is completely secure and shows no signs of regluing. 8" long, 7-1/4" tall.

Outstanding composition goose Easter candy container. The neck removes to reveal the opening for the candy. This container is of the highest quality--it has painted metal feet, and a wooden dowel to hold the head in place. Unmarked, but definitely German. Circa 1930. Excellent condition, a little paint rubbing on metal feet. 3-1/4" long, 2-7/8" tall.

Super vintage celluloid pop-up toy. It's one of the cutest celluloid Easter items I've seen. Mrs. Chick is dresed in a blue and white polka dot dress that conceals a coiled spring that allows her to bob up and down. All her costume is original. Unmarked, but probably American. Circa 1920s. Outstanding condition, no holes or dents. 4" tall.

Really fun hard plastic Easter Bunny bank. The rabbit is dressed in a baseball uniform, complete with a ball cap. He holds a baseball bat and a ball. Unmarked, but probably by Rosbro. Circa 1950s. Excellent condition. 11-3/4" tall.

Extra-large German Dresden-type papier-mache Easter egg candy container. The chromolithographed paper covering shows a wonderful assortment of roosters, hens, chicks, and of course, Easter rabbits. This is undoubtedly the largest Easter Egg candy container we've seen. The interior is lined with the traditional star patterned paper and the rims have a Dresden border. One end has the original string hanger. Marked "Germany". Circa 1920s. Very good condition, bright colors, about 30% loss of Dresden border. Size: 7-1/2" long, 5" wide.
